Company History
Over the years, FX Group has had many different looks. But our goal has always been the same: to provide the best scenic solutions coupled with industry-leading customer service.
FX was founded in 1986, initially providing scenic services for corporate meetings and events. The company soon expanded into fabrication and design services for broadcast television clients. Early fabrication work included projects for WWOR-TV in Secaucus, N.J., NBC's "Meet the Press," several Court TV sets and three sets for the launch of Fox News Channel.
In 1996, FX purchased its current home, a 48,000-square foot facility located just outside of Orlando, Fla. The facility has been expanded several times and now totals over 50,000 square feet — nearly the size of two football fields.
FX's centralized operations are key to the company's ability to deliver the industry's only truly turnkey solution. The building's in-house carpentry, metal, sign, paint, print and laminate shops allow FX to control the cost, communication and delivery of every part of every project.
Since 1986, FX has built an impressive and varied portfolio of network affiliate, cable and specialty set design and fabrication, including work for CNN Headline News, Blue's Clues, KRON-TV in San Francisco, WESH-TV and WFTV-TV in Orlando and hundreds of other clients. FX's work has also been honored with multiple Emmy Awards and five Brodcast Design Association Awards.
FX employs 28 experienced staffers and expert craftsmen — many of whom have worked at FX for over 10 years, providing valuable depth of experience. |
