Exclusive Shot By Shot Planner allows FX Group clients to visualize newscasts
ORLANDO, Fla. — FX Group has launched a Web-based application that allows stations to create custom storyboards that preview the shots used on their new sets.
FX’s Shot By Shot Planner, available exclusively to FX clients, features a drag-and-drop interface that news and production crews can use to plan how they will use all of the available shots on their new FX set.
The system also allows users to save multiple storyboards, allowing each program or newscast to have a unique shot lineup. Storyboards can be easily modified by dragging thumbnails to a new location and previewed in an automatic slide show-style playback.
The Web-based nature of the applications allows team members from multiple locations or offices to access storyboards from any computer with Internet access. Users can also print storyboards for easy offline reference during rehearsals or meetings.
The Shot By Shot Planner is a custom application developed exclusively for FX and is available to all contracted clients at no additional charge. The service is one of several services FX offers its clients to enhance the set design process.
In addition to the Shot By Shot Planner, clients also receive access to FX’s Client Preview Center, a Web-based project management and collaboration tool for reviewing set renderings and graphics proofs. Another added benefit, FX’s exclusive Set Care Kit, provides specially-formulated set cleaning and care supplies with unlimited refills for the life of the set.
