Technology upgrades enhance FX Group's top-flight service
ORLANDO, Fla. — Leading broadcast scenic design firm FX Group has invested in a variety of key technology upgrades aimed at better serving clients.
These upgrades include a new, state-of-the-art telephone system, cutting edge upgrades to the design studio computer network and the installation of an additional wide format ink jet printer.
"These investments represent our commitment to providing the best scenic design services and customer service," said Matthew Carson, FX's president.
The new telephone system installed at FX's 50,000-square foot facility adds a wealth of features and enhancements which will make client interactions such as conference calls more efficient and streamlined. The system also allows clients to call FX contacts directly at their desks instead of being routed through an operator, making it more convenient to connect with staffers.
The system's enhanced voice mail can also connect inbound callers with members of the FX team who are away from their desk or on the road.
New HP workstations and software were installed in FX's award-winning design studio, giving each designer identical hardware and software configurations. Included in this project was upgrades to the latest versions of 3DSMax, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. The powerful new computer systems were selected specifically to increase the design team's efficiency and creativity (see an interactive panoramic view of the design studio below).
Rounding out the upgrades is a new wide format ink jet printer, doubling FX's large format graphics production capacity.
"We're excited about the opportunities these upgrades will give us," said Carson. "By coupling the best team with the best technology, FX is truly the leader in the industry."
