KCRA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Sacramento, Calif., hired FX Group to create a new broadcast envrionment for the debut of its HD newscasts.

The set features two monitor walls with frosted plexiglass, giving the anchor backgrounds a high-tech and active look. To the left of the anchor desk, a double standup area includes flyaway duratrans that allow the area to double as a partially virtual set.

Situated at the other side of the anchor area, a working WeatherPlus center is stocked with HD monitors that display video feeds and data.
