WCYB-TV was selected as the winner of the first RTNDA Ultimate Newscast Makeover and FX Group's role was to design and build the station a brand-new, functional weather center and lighting design.

Despite dealing with some space challenges, FX equipped the station with an impressive rear projection screen for delivering forecasts as well as a versatile weather work area and presentation pod with plasma display for showing viewers forecast graphics and live video. The rear projection screen also complements the main set by doubling as a flexible standup location.
